Our long-tenured and culturally sensitive team members receive extensive training through Care Academy. In addition, we provide LGBT inclusivity training through the Getting it Right Program from Connecticut Community Care. As my illness progressed so did my needs, this placed strain on my marriage and my family life. We reached out to JFS Care and now I and my family have the vital support we needed. Our Home Care team is made up of professional nursing assistants and nurses , all screened and trained to ensure top quality care. As a testament to our dedicated service, we handle unique assignments, regardless of the complexities and challenges. Founded 150 years ago, we currently offer more than 30 programs and services, including food security, housing stability, mental health counseling, aging care, employment support, and disability services. JFS takes a holistic approach, assessing the various needs of the individual or family and provides the appropriate services all from one organization. We continuously evaluate the evolving challenges of our community and adapt or develop programs that respond to the resulting needs. Allowing a new caregiver to come into a senior loved one’s home for the first time can sometimes cause feelings of concern or anxiety.
Additional services are also available from our Home Care team such as light housekeeping, laundry, scheduling appointments, running errands and even social outings. Life may be challenging sometimes, especially as you get older or have special needs. We just didn't know what she needed or how to get it and you were there to guide us through that process. The aides that JFS at Home provided were top-notch, caring, and professional.
